Alumni Interaction with TE Mechanical Engineering Students

The Department of Mechanical Engineering had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Avinash Bhat, an alumnus of the institute and Senior CAE Analyst at Mercedes-Benz R&D, Bengaluru, India, to the campus on 27 August 2026.

During his visit, Mr. Bhat interacted with the Third Year (TE) Mechanical Engineering students and shared valuable insights into his professional journey, experiences, and career progression. He spoke about the importance of strong technical fundamentals, continuous learning, skill development, and understanding industry requirements, particularly in the field of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and the automotive sector. The students sought guidance on various aspects of engineering education, career opportunities, technical skills, and professional development.

As a gesture of continued association with his alma mater, Mr. Avinash Bhat also donated GATE preparation books and academic reference books to the Mechanical Engineering Department Library. They will serve as useful resources for students preparing for competitive examinations and strengthening their technical knowledge.
