Hands on Session on “Effective use of AI: Tools and Techniques”

CII-IWN DBCE Student’s Chapter of Don Bosco college of Engineering organized a Hands-on session on “Effective Use of AI: Tools and Techniques” on 15th May 2026 to help students understand the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in academics and professional work. The session was conducted by Ms. Nestinka Rebello, Director and COO of CodeMax IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd., who shared valuable insights on the practical use of AI tools and modern prompting techniques. The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Sonia Kuncolienkar, Ex- Chairperson of CII–IWN, Team from Code Max IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd Ms. Raveena Rivonkar and Salina Raikar and CII IWN Members. The session was organized by CII IWN DBCE Faculty coordinator Ms. Melba D’Souza and the Compere for the day was Ms. Raynel Dias.

The session began with an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and its increasing impact across different industries. The speaker explained how AI can be effectively used to improve productivity, creativity, learning, and problem-solving. Various AI tools currently available for tasks such as content generation, coding assistance, research, presentations, design, and data analysis were introduced and demonstrated.

The participants actively used some of the AI tools discussed during the presentation. Students were guided through practical exercises that demonstrated how AI can assist in generating ideas, improving written content, simplifying tasks, and enhancing efficiency in day-to-day work. This interactive approach made the session engaging and allowed attendees to directly apply the concepts they learned.

Overall, the talk was highly informative and beneficial for students, as it provided both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to AI technologies. The session encouraged participants to explore AI responsibly and effectively for academic, personal, and professional growth.
