DBCE CELEBRATES TEACHERS’ DAY

Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, celebrated Teachers’ Day on 29th August 2026 in the institution’s auditorium. The celebration brought together faculty and staff for a joyful and meaningful gathering centred on gratitude, appreciation and togetherness.

The celebration began with a Prayer Service, followed by the Principal’s Address and a lively Grand Entry. The Cake Cutting Ceremony marked the spirit of togetherness, while Spot Prizes added fun and excitement to the programme. A special musical highlight was Counsellor Elaine’s performance, followed by the much-awaited Karaoke Competition, where faculty members showcased their singing talents in a spirit of joy and camaraderie. The Student Band performance brought great energy to the celebration, while a special video by the students added warmth to the occasion.

The event also recognised dedication and excellence through the Principal’s Awards, presented to faculty members Amey Tilve, Sachin Turi and Harison Cota. The 10 Years Completion Awards honoured Principal Dr Neena Panandikar, Amey K. Shet Tilve, Prashant Naik, Nicolau Borges and Tanay Rege for their valuable contributions and dedicated 10 years of service to the institution.

Adding a personal and memorable touch to the celebration was a live display of personalised messages created for each staff member. Each message was beautifully presented along with a brownie, making it a thoughtful keepsake and a special token of appreciation for every member of the DBCE family.

The programme was ably compered by Antonio Colaço from the First Year Mechanical Engineering Department and Analee Martins from the Second Year Computer Engineering Department.

The programme was curated by Counsellors Elaine Dias and Palosha Pereira, with the support of Cultural Activities In-charge Amey Tilve.

The celebration concluded with a fellowship lunch, bringing everyone together to share in the joy of the occasion and celebrate the spirit of the DBCE community.
