The Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda, through the Astronomy Club and the Student Satellite Club Parikrama, organized a Quiz Competition for higher secondary school students on Friday, 22nd August 2025, to celebrate National Space Day.
National Space Day, observed on 23rd August, marks India’s historic achievement of becoming the first nation to land a spacecraft near the lunar south pole with Chandrayaan-3. The event aimed to inspire young minds and ignite their interest in astronomy, space science, and India’s growing role in global space exploration.
The competition featured three exciting rounds – a Computer Test, an Audio-Visual round, and a Rapid Fire round – testing participants’ knowledge, speed, and awareness of space missions and astronomy. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from schools across Goa, with students displaying sharp intellect and teamwork.
After a keenly contested battle, the winners were declared:
