“INSPIRUS 2k23: Nurturing Innovation, Igniting Futures – A Chronicle of Technological Brilliance”

The Department of Computer Engineering, in collaboration with C-CODES, organized the seventh annual intercollegiate event, ‘INSPIRUS 2k23: Make it Happen’ at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Goa. The event held on October 6-7, 2023, attracted students from various schools, higher secondary schools, and colleges from across the country.

INSPIRUS 2k23 showcased a diverse range of technical and non-technical events, with the highlight being the 24-hour Inspirathon (hackathon). The event also featured a Masterclass on “HYPER AUTOMATION: Unlock the potential with EIQ Platform” for both faculty and students.

The event commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony featuring esteemed dignitaries. Chief Guest – Mr. Sanjay Koppikar, along with Director- Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Principal – Dr. Neena S. P. Panandikar, and Head of the Department of Computer Engineering- Dr. Gaurang Patkar, inaugurated the event with the traditional lighting of the lamp. The ceremony was also graced by Mr. Vedant Gad, Chairperson of C-CODES, and faculty members and students of the Department of Computer Engineering.

Mr. Sanjay Koppikar delivered an inspiring keynote address, emphasizing the evolving landscape of technology. He discussed topics such as Digi-yatra, ChatGPT, and the rise of “Low code, No code” solutions. He encouraged students to focus on results rather than getting lost in intricate coding, citing examples of innovative projects such as automated rare Tibetan Medicinal Plant cultivation in Hyderabad.

The outgoing C-Codes Chairperson, Mr. Aryan Kotru, highlighted the activities conducted during his tenure, including workshops, seminars, panel discussions, and industrial visits. The event also felicitated distinguished alumni for their outstanding academic performance. The event concluded with the swearing-in ceremony of the C-Codes 2023 council, pledging their commitment to their responsibilities. Prof. Merwyn D’Souza expressed gratitude to all participants and guests for their presence and support, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to the event’s success. INSPIRUS 2k23 was a resounding success, bringing together bright minds and encouraging innovative thinking in the field of computer engineering. The event not only provided a platform for learning and networking but also inspired attendees to explore the limitless possibilities of technology.
