Career in Engineering 2024

The Training and Placement Cell of our college organized a talk on the topic ‘Career in Engineering’. This event targeted prospective students of class 10^th, 11^th, 12^th as well as diploma holders and their parents. The objective of the talk was to help aspiring students in choosing the right branch of engineering and also making them aware of the admission process at the Directorate of technical Education (DTE) for engineering colleges.  The talk was conducted in Seminar Hall on 27^th April 2024.

Dr. Shreyas Simu, the moderator of the event gave a brief introduction to the event. Mr. Yeshudas Muttu gave an overview of Electronics and Computer Science and allied engineering fields and job opportunities in those fields. Dr. Norman Dias spoke about Computer Engineering field, Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar gave a glimpse of what Civil Engineering is about  and finally Prof. Ajit Salunke spoke about Mechanical Engineering and Industry 4.0. Prof. Swapnil Ramani gave a detailed explanation of the admission process that is conducted by DTE in Goa. He suggested “Merely filling the admission forms doesn’t guarantee you a place in college, you need to attend the admission rounds at DTE”. After the speakers finished there was a question-answer session which was moderated by Dr. Shreyas Simu. A lot of questions were posed by the parents. All the questions were answered by the panel of experts.

After the Q&A session, Dr. Shreyas Simu delivered the vote of thanks to the Director, Principal and the panel of experts who helped to make the session a successful event. He also thanked all the participants for making the event a huge success.
