Training Program for our Sales and Service employees of Putzmeister Concrete Machines Company
The Civil Engineering Department of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, conducted a comprehensive training program for the Sales and Service employees of Putzmeister Concrete Machines Company, focusing on the fundamentals of Concrete Technology. The program was structured into eight sessions, held every Saturday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, spanning from May 25 to July 27, 2024. Asst. Prof. Shruti Jambhale from the Civil Engineering Department served as the resource person.
The primary aim of this training was to equip the frontline staff of Putzmeister with a robust understanding of Concrete Technology, including emerging trends and innovations in the industry.
The training commenced with an introduction to Concrete Technology and the materials used in construction. Subsequent sessions delved into the detailed procedures of Concrete Mix Design, materials testing, and the manufacturing process. The program continued with in-depth discussions on tests for fresh and hardened concrete, the use of admixtures and chemicals in construction, and special types of concrete. Each session concluded with a Q&A segment, allowing participants to engage in discussions about their field experiences.
A total of 200 participants attended the training. To assess the effectiveness of the program, participants were evaluated through pre-training and post-training quizzes.
