Report of Blood Donation Camp held on 12th October 2018 at Don Bosco College of Engineering

The NSS unit of Don Bosco college of Engineering, Fatorda in association with Blood Bank, Hospicio Hospital, Margao conducted a blood donation camp in the institute premises on 12^th October 2018. An eight member team of blood bank headed by Dr Vinita Torcato,  visited the institute for the blood collection. Also present was Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal, Dr. Kala Nayak, Registrar and Prof. Harison Cota. Altogether 96 students and staff came forward to donate blood. However due to haemoglobin, pressure and other medical conditions, 36 could not donate. In all 60 students and staff donated blood and helped save many lives. This is the first blood donation camp conducted by the NSS unit in this academic year and was coordinated by Dr. Avertano Barreto, Sports Officer and Prof. Chetan Gaonkar, NSS Program Officer.
