- She has received Travel Grant of Rs. 116000/- from Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS)
- 2500 delegates from China, India, Germany, Japan, Italy, USA, Canada, and different parts of the world participated in the Symposium
- Scientists from NASA, ISRO and European Space Agency presented their research findings
- Symposium was inaugurated in the hands of the Emperor and Empress of Japan
- The first IGARSS took place in 1981 at Washington, D.C., since then it is organized every year in the last week of July at various parts of the world
