BE Computer students attend Team Building Workshop

The C-CODES Students association in association with the Department of Computer Engineering conducted a workshop on TEAM BUILDING for the students of  BE COMP on the 14^th August 2019 in the seminar hall. It was an hour long session from 12pm-1pm organized by Prof. Janhavi Naik and in presence of Prof.  Gaurang Patkar(HOD) and Prof.  Vivek Jog who were also the judges for the day.

It started off with a fun activity wherein the participants were tested on the basis of cooperation and getting along with the other fellow students. Through the activity, the participants were divided into teams of 10 or 9 members each. It was a total of 5 teams. After which, the participants had to choose amongst themselves a team leader and a team name. The team names that were put forth were as follows- Avengers, Maypril, Scam, Predators and Brute force. The judges decided that Maypril was a unique name as compared to others and hence they won themselves a point. Here the creativity aspect was judged. The next activity was to form the longest line making use of the team members. It was fun to see the innovative ideas that each team used such as stretching their hands and legs, lying on the floor, use of id cards and belts, etc. The team with the least members i.e. 9 had made the longest line. It was a tie between 3 teams- Scam, Predators, Brute force. This judged the presence of mind and mutual understanding of the team. By now, team Scam had the highest points.

The participants, then had a brief presentation on Team Building aspects. The pros and cons, values, the stages of team building were beautifully conveyed to by Ms. Janhavi. Lastly, the final activity was again depicting the team strength and applying whatever had been learnt through the session. Again, all collective minds working together put forward a drawing. The winning team was  Avengers with the highest points followed by Predators, Brute Force, Maypril, and Scam. The workshop finally concluded with group photos with each team.

The team building workshop was great fun with interactive sessions. The participants gained a lot of team building values.
