INTRODUCTION TO INTERNET OF THINGS

A four day workshop on Introduction to Internet of Things was organized by the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Department, in association with DBEATS council, for the students of first year ETC from 13th to 16th of January, 2020. The resource persons for the workshop  were Mr. Rohit Sardessai and Mr. Siddhesh Nayak, both alumni of Don Bosco College of Engineering.

The workshop introduced the students to concepts such as cloud architecture, HTTP protocol, ways to communicate between clients and servers etc.

The students learned how to stream sensor data to the cloud and receive it back on a remote device. They also learned how to control outputs on the microcontroller using voice commands from a phone, which can be used for home automation.

This workshop was intended for interested students of first year and those  students that  attended the workshop gave a positive feedback.

The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Deron Rodrigues.
