Report : ACRESERVE 2019-20

Indian Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (ISHRAE) Goa Chapter  organized a one day programme for HVAC&R professionals and aspirants, ACRESERVE 2019-20 on 24^th January 2020 at Sanskruti Bhavan, Panjim. The event saw participation of 12 ISHRAE DBCE Student members and two staff members of DBCE Mechanical Engineering Department; Mr. Sujesh Girodkar and Mr. Diptesh Naik.

The program began with the inaugural function, wherein, the President of Goa Chapter, Shri Santosh Naik, briefed the audience on the various events planned for the year and also more about ACRESERVE 2019-20. The first talk was on installation, commissioning and servicing of room air conditioners by Mr. Donald Martins. After this, there was a small presentation by the sponsors of ACRESERVE 2019-20, Aspen Pumps, Mr. Sagar Raina delivered the talk, followed by a talk on maintenance of central air conditioners, by Mr.Lumen Araujo.

Post lunch ,the event resumed with a session on heat load calculations and duct design by Mr. Lumen Araujo , that most students found most beneficial from the academic point of view. The following session was a talk on servicing of car air conditioners by Mr. Graciano Gomes and then the final session was on tools and safety practices in refrigeration and air conditioning by Mr. Donald Martins.

The day ended with a valedictory function and all participants received certificates.
