IGNITRON 2020

“IGNITRON 2020”,  a one day event organized by the Mechanical Engineering Students Hub of  Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda was inaugurated by Mr. Kishore Shah – Director Ideaz Unlimited on  March 13 2020. Fr. Kinley D’ Cruz – Director,  Prof. Ajit Salunke – HOD- Mechanical Department , Dr Kala Nayak – Registrar and Mr Royston Antao –  MESH secretary were also present on the dais.

Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, spoke about dreaming big and achieving the goals by narrating a story of Buzz Eldrin. Prof Suraj Marathe briefed the audience about the activities of MESH and Mr. Keegan Pinto briefed about IGNITRON 2019. Prof Ajit Salunke complimented the students and staff of the Mechanical Department for their role in community development.  Mr Kishore Shah who was also the Key note speaker, delivered a session on “GOA- Growth, Outstand, Accelerate”. In his unique style he motivated the students and elaborated on the means to find one’s IKIGAI (Japanese concept for reason for being). He also appreciated the efforts taken by the MESH team and urged them to make IGNITRON a global event in the coming year.

A Laser cutting workshop in association with Goa State Innovation Council was organised for the students. Prof Gaurish Samant faculty of Mechanical Engineering was the resource person. MecHeads a student’s robotics group under the guidance of Prof Ishan Kossambe also conducted a seminar for First year students.

The event was coordinated by Prof Suraj Marathe and Prof  Sanjeel Naik, and the student’s council of MESH. .
