Disrupting Industry 4.0 with Empathy Led Innovation

Institution’s Innovation Cell (IIC) of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda-Goa organized a webinar on “Disrupting Industry 4.0 with Empathy Led Innovation” was held on  June 30, 2021. Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar, welcomed and introduced the speaker Mr. Ashley Dsouza, founder, Hexcoderz .

In his address Mr. Ashley Dsouza explained the process of design thinking. Citing an example of a final year project and keeping the user in mind at every stage of process, Mr. Dsouza , elaborated the process of Empathy, wherein he presented an example of a pothole , in which he presented a sequence of occurrences like rains generation of pothole , causing of accidents and what could be the potential solution.

Further, Mr. Ashley Dsouza explained the next step of design thinking i.e., defining a problem and described the documentation of a problem statement.

The steps involved in ideation and deciding topmost amongst selected ideas was also explained.

Building Prototype and solutions to overcome the failure which may result in prototype was also discussed in the interactive session.

At the end of the webinar, Mr Dsouza spoke on testing of prototype on end user.
