“Design and Implementation of Post-tensioning of Slabs and Beams”

On March 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., the Civil Engineering Department of Don Bosco College of Engineering organised an Industry Academics Interaction Lecture.
Er T.V. Rudramoorthy, Chief Operating Officer at Utracon Structural System Pvt Ltd,Pune, spoke at the event.
“Design and Implementation of Post tensioning of Slabs and Beams” was the topic of Er.Rudramoorty’s talk. The final-year civil engineering students were the target audience for the talk.
Er. Rudramoorthy covered the fundamentals of post tensioning and how it is used in the engineering field in his lecture.
The post tensioning process was illustrated using pictures to help understand the mechanism and methodology.
He also spoke with students on the different projects which his company worked on in and around Goa and the neighbouring states.
Er Rudramoorthy encouraged the students to apply for an engineering position after graduation and to undertake an internship with his organization.
Er Satish Kumar from Utracon structural system Pvt Ltd, Pune, was one of the guests in presence.
Er Shekhar Panandikar, Er. Kedar Panandikar, Dr. Neena Panandikar-Don Bosco College of Engineering’s principal, Fatorda, and Dr. Shwetha Prasanna, Civil Department head, we’re also present in the audience. Prof. Nadya Baracho and Prof. Jeffrey Valadares of the Civil Engineering Department served as the event’s coordinator.
