BOOTCAMP FOR FE STUDENTS
The Department of Science & Humanities in collaboration with Goa State Innovation Council (GSInC) conducted a Bootcamp on 8th August 2024, titled “Innovation, Creativity, Prototyping, and Startups”. The event aimed to foster a forward-thinking mindset among the students and equip them with essential knowledge required for startups and innovation, alongside knowledge of Prototyping. This half day session had a distinguished lineup of speakers:
- Mrs. Kanan Tandi, Founder of Cognique, shared her extensive knowledge on the intersection of creativity and technology, and how these can be leveraged to drive innovation.
- Mr. Arafath Ahamed, Proprietor of Inspaura – Create Possibilities, provided valuable insights into the world of startups, including the challenges and opportunities faced by emerging entrepreneurs.
- Mr. Shivaraj Naik, Mentor at the Prototyping Lab of GSIC, offered practical advice on the prototyping process, helping students understand how to bring their ideas to life through effective prototyping techniques.
Their inspiring sessions helped the attendees expand their understanding of the topics in focus. The bootcamp saw enthusiastic participation from approximately one hundred students, primarily from the Computer and Civil Engineering departments. The engagement and interactions were highly positive, with students actively participating in discussions and Q&A sessions. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Vaishali Parakhi & Mr. Kevin Pereira, and executed under the guidance of Dr. Kala Nayak, Head of the Department of Science and Humanities in collaboration with GSInC.
