BUDDING ENTREPRENEURS FOR E-CELL MEMBERS

The Don Bosco College of Engineering in association with the Entrepreneurship – Cell (Ecell) organised a one day event on September 10, 2022 called as ‘Budding Entrepreneurs’ which had two sub events namely Analysis Paralysis & Germinate It (a case study & business idea competition for third & second year E-cell students).

In the morning half the event Analysis Paralysis was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Sanjeel Naik & student coordinator Ms. Gauravi Kamat. 8 teams registered for the event. Students presented their case study about different FMCG to two eminent judges – Mr. Rajdutt Kenkre, Mentor at Goa State Innovation Council & Mr. Pradosh Hegde, Managing Director at P B Engineering, Belgaum followed by a Q&A session. Judges shared their valuable feedback to students. Mr. Pradosh said “students have to make maximum use of such platform to learn and to implement their Ideas”  Prof. Amey K. Shet Tilve announced the winners & the event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Nicole Fernandes from second year computer engineering. The first place was bagged by Team Analysis Aces headed by Nicole Fernandes, second place by Team Limitless with Rutvik Vaze as team lead and third place by Team MKS headed by Kezia Fernandes. The event was hosted by Mr. Vadiraj Inamdar (student from TE COMP) & Ms Shridevi Bharne (student from SE COMP).

In the afternoon session, event Germinate It (Business Idea Competition for second year students) was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Mathilda Colaco & student coordinator Mr. Vadiraj Inamdar. The teams were judged by two eminent judges – Mr. Gourish Bhat, Founder at Gyrono Tech & Mr. Thejas Joseph, COO FiiRE incubation centre. Teams had used different strategies like PowerPoint presentation, front end website, figma tool to present their creative ideas. At the end of the event Mr. Thejas said “ germinating an Idea is very important, but along with that making it work also is very important”. Prof. Avila announced the winners of Germinate It & the event concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Mathilda Colaco. The first place was bagged by Team Bits & Bytes headed by Jovan Pinto, second place by Team Tech Pirates with Sai Rane as team lead and third place by Team headed by Mathias Fernandes. The event was hosted by Mr. Vadiraj Inamdar (student from TE COMP)
