Call for Paper Writing and Research Report on Innovation

On  December 10, 2020, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, a webinar on Call for Paper Writing and Research Report on Innovation was organised by the Institute Innovation Council of Don Bosco College of Engineering Fatorda-Goa. It was well-received by 100 participants from students and faculty members. The resource person for the session was Dr. Shwetha Prasanna (H.O.D.-Civil Department of DBCE). The main Highlights of the webinar were Description of Problem, How to review existing research and Description of innovation.

Dr. Shwetha provided a brief understanding of what a technical paper is and that it involves the collection, organization, and analysis of information or knowledge to increase understanding of a topic or issue. The crucial steps to start a research paper were discussed. The three stages of the writing process involved to publish a research paper are, firstly research and planning secondly writing, and lastly revision. These three processes were explained in brief as in what all elements are required to establish in a good research and planning phase. Furthermore, the writing phase includes writing of introduction, body, and conclusion. Every process of writing was explained in a detailed manner. Finally, the four main steps in the revision phase were discussed i.e. Evaluation, redraft, editing the paper, and proofreading. In addition to this, Dr. Shwetha also gave the step-wise process on how to go about publishing a research paper. The workshop ended with a question and answer session.
