Civil Engineering Students from DBCE participate at the 56th IWWA Annual Convention at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore
Ayanaa Inamdar, Grishmaa Bandodkar, Valanka Rodrigues, Clarita D’Souza, Raylan Palmeira, Wallance Fernandes, Amanda Luis, and Siddhi Parvatkar from Civil Engineering, Don Bosco College of Engineering participated at the 56th IWWA Annual Convention at Bharathiar University in Coimbatore from January 19 – 21, 2024.
The students presented papers titled:
1. GIS: Empowering Dam Design and Management: A Holistic Approach to Enhancing Resilience and Safety,
2. Harnessing the Power of GIS for Water –Secure Future
3. Navigating Water Scarcity: A Sustainable Rainwater Harvesting Approach for Don Bosco College of Engineering
The paper titled ‘Harnessing the Power of GIS for Water –Secure Future’ presented by Raylan Palmeira, Wallance Fernandes, Amanda Luis, and Siddhi Parvatkar bagged the third prize at paper presentation competition under Youth Category.
During the convention, the students interacted with esteemed delegates from diverse water sector background across the nation. They actively participated in a series of technical sessions spanning all three days, delving into various innovative approaches to water supply, management, and safety. The students were accompanied by Satyesh Kakodkar, Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering.
