Computer Engineering Farewell Batch-2023

On June 15, 2023, Department of Computer Engineering – Don Bosco College of Engineering hosted the farewell function of the graduating students of Batch 2023. The function was graced by the Director -Rev. Fr. Kinley Dcruz, Principal – Dr. Neena Panandikar, Registrar -Dr. Kala Nayak, Head of Department-Dr. Gaurang Patkar, and TPO – Prof. Avila Naik. The graduating students entered the hall, where Prof. Janhavi Naik and Prof. Amey Tilve presented them their graduation hats.

The program formally began with the hosts (Shubham and Marisa) welcoming all the dignitaries and students on the joyous yet nostalgic occasion followed by sweet and motivating messages from the dignitaries to the students. Rev. Fr. Kinley D’cruz spoke on the journey of the students at DBCE and how they would get an experience of the corporate world. Dr. Neena Panandikar qizzed the students on their preference of the online or offline mode of teaching and wished them the best for their future.

Dr. Kala Nayak elaborated on how Mathematics and logic help and will help them in their careers ahead. Dr. Gaurang Patkar shared a message with the students and recalled all the nostalgic memories. Prof. Avila Naik conveyed an emotional message to the students and expressed herself on how good she felt the students had been for the past 4 years. The class teacher, Prof. Amey Tilve spoke on the wonderful memories that he shared with the amazing students for the past 4 years. The graduating students Siddhilaxmi and Reev reflected upon their best memories and the bond that they shared with the faculties and their classmates. A flashback video was shown showcasing their memories and taking them through a 4 year journey.

The various student awards were then announced by Shubham Tendulkar. The awards were given by the dignitaries and the faculties present. The award ceremony was followed by cake cutting celebration in which the Class Representative, Reev, got the honor to cut the cake on behalf of all students.

The event also consisted of an entertainment program in which various games, spot prizes were organized and along with a singing performance by the students from third year computer engineering and a special singing performance by Prof. Ankit Tiwari. The event concluded at  with a vote of thanks by Prof. Janhavi Naik. The entire event was coordinated by third year computer engineering students under the guidance of Prof. Janhavi Naik.
