Course on Advance Maintenance planning and scheduling
Mr. Anish Bandekar, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, attended a three-day course on “Advanced Maintenance Planning and Scheduling” organized by Maintcons, the maintenance consultants, at Vivanta Panaji from June 26 to June 28, 2024. The course was conducted by Mr. Deelip Prabhudesai, principal consultant at Maintcons. This company specializes in assessing, training, and certifying companies in maintenance.
Mr. Prabhudesai delivered an engaging presentation covering various topics related to industrial maintenance, including maintenance strategy, maintenance versus asset management, the importance of planning and scheduling in companies, backlog management, work closure and documentation, analysis and continuous improvement, performance measurement, materials management, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Additionally, Mr. Prabhudesai explored case studies and problem-solving scenarios, discussing the challenges faced by maintenance engineers in specific situations.
