DBCE Participates in Weightlifting Tournament
The students of DBCE emerged victorious at the Weightlifting Championship held at Goa University on the 13th and 14th of August, 2024.
Mr. Bhasker Gain delivered an exceptional performance, securing the Gold Medal in the 81kg category. Bhasker not only won the gold but also shattered his previous record. He lifted a total of 270 kg in Snatch and Clean & Jerk, surpassing his previous record of 230 kg. This remarkable feat earned him the prestigious title of Iron Man for the Year 2024-25. His dedication and hard work have brought great pride to our institution.
On a related note, our student Mr. Samarth Phadte narrowly missed the Bronze Medal by just 1 kg. Despite this close outcome, his effort and commitment were commendable, and we are confident that he will continue to strive for excellence in future competitions.
