Field trip SE Computer

28 February 2020, a field trip was organized for SE computer by computer department of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda.

The students got a keen opportunity to visit professional industrial places. First they visited CIBA in Agnel Polytechnic where students interacted with the employees of the company Infinyt3D. They enlightned the students with the knowledge of various materials , techniques and machineries used for 3D-printing. This provided a full insight of recent trends in 3D-printing and future scope for industrial use.

The trip was followed by a visit to a company of Goa Broadband Network Service, United Telecoms Ltd. The students were addressed by the head of the department. He guided them through the concepts of networking and the practical approach the company has adopted. The students were  taken to the server room. The connections of the main servers, their sub drivers and the hard disks were very well explained along with the wiring of the systems done to provide service to all the point of presence in Goa.

This field trip helped the students to gain a perception of the actual utilization of 3D-printing in day to day personal and commercial life; and the understanding of networks in Goa which helps in the excellent communication provided by UTL.
