Idea Competition under DBCE IIC

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC- DBCE) organized an Idea Competition in association with Innovation &Entrepreneurship Cell (I& E Cell) on 25th January 2019. 15 teams participated by giving initial entries of which 9 teams were shortlisted for the final presentation round. The teams were evaluated based on following parameters:  Presentation, Workability, Innovativeness, and Scalability. Each team was given 10 minutes for presenting the idea and 5 min for question and answers. The initial shortlisting and screening was done by the IIC Evaluation Committee.  The main objective of the competition was to encourage students to consider entrepreneurship as a career option and foster a spirit of innovation and creativity. The competition was open to third and final year  students of the college across disciplines.

The college incubation centre – Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (FIIRE) hosted the competition.  The students presented their ideas along with the marketing strategy, financial viability and market opportunity. Some of the ideas Presented Include Product Authentication Using Blockchain, Go Smart Cardiac Caretaker, Vitamin D Tracker, RF enabled Silent Zone sensing system, Smart Stick for visually impaired, among others. The nine shortlisted ideas will now be mentored by FIIRE.

The event was won by the team from the Computer Department – Kartik Patkar, Ansh Pathania, Rahul S Sharma and  Safnu Samad from Third year
