Introduction: Don Bosco College of Engineering’s Computer Department, in collaboration with C-Codes, proudly hosted the fifth edition of Inspirathon, a prestigious hackathon that formed the highlight of the two-day Inspirus event. On 6th October 2023, 18 diverse teams from colleges across Goa gathered to participate in this exhilarating 24-hour code fest.

Event Highlights: Inspirathon was inaugurated at 11 am by esteemed guests: Chief Guest Mr. Sanjay Koppikar, Head of the Computer Department Dr. Gaurang Pathkar, College Principal Neena Panandikar, and Director Fr. Innovative Applications: The teams delved into various sectors such as education, health, and agriculture, creating groundbreaking applications. Team Crosshack, from Padre Conceicao College of Engineering (PCCE), developed a solution to match question papers with appropriate answers, benefiting students worldwide. Team Divide and Conquer, from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa, created an application that transcribed lectures, utilized lip reading for muted videos, and summarized topics, catering to diverse learning needs. The first-place winner, Team Code Overload from Goa College of Engineering (GEC), Farmaguddi designed a secure offline payment application, addressing the need for internet-independent transactions and ensuring data security.

Challenges and Triumphs: Team Code Overload faced the daunting task of creating a payment application that operated without internet connectivity while maintaining stringent security measures. Under the mentorship of Mr. Abhishek Singh, the team not only met but exceeded these challenges, showcasing exceptional innovation and determination.
