Institution Innovation Council (IIC) established at DBCE
Don Bosco College of Engineering is selected by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India to establish Institution Innovation Cell (IIC) as per the norms and directions of Innovation Cell, MHRD, Govt. of India.
Dr Neena Panandikar, Principal of DBCE was invited to participate in the inaugural function on 21 November 2018 at AICTE HQ, New Delhi and also received the Certificate of Institution Innovation Cell (IIC). The function was inaugurated in the hands of HRD Minister Mr Prakash Javadekar. Speaking on the occasion Mr Javadekar said that the purpose of formation of network of Institution Innovation Councils (IICs) is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by exposing them to new ideas. He also expressed that more than one thousand HEIs have already formed IICs in their campuses to promote innovation.
IIC of Don Bosco College of Engineering will focus on creating a vibrant local innovation ecosystem, along with promoting Start-up/Entrepreneurship supporting mechanism at the campus for the staff and students.
