ISHRAE Virtual Factory Visit : Blowtech Air Devices Pvt Ltd

As part of the unique student exclusive ‘Aaoo Dekhen Factory!’ series by the Indian Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), a virtual factory visit to Blowtech Air Devices Pvt. Ltd. was organised on the October 17, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The virtual tour was held online on the Go To Webinar platform which received active participation from students all over India.

The Webinar started off with a brief introduction of the company by Mr. Pankaj, the National Chair for students. The factory tour was hosted by the Directors of Blowtech Air devices Miss Neha Choudhury and Miss Yesha Choudhury with a brief overview of the company, its location, the product range and their prestigious AMCA certification. An insight of the 4-floor plant layout and the products movement across the different phases of the plant was given.  Different rooms such as the press shop, tool room, assembly shop, component machine shop, balancing department were then explained in detail. Miss Yesha also emphasized on how the factory makes full use of modern manufacturing concepts such as “Kaizen and Poka Yoka”. Focussing on the Atma Nirbhar Bharat vision of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the company now manufactures their own Tig welding machine and balancing clips which were previously imported from China.

The virtual visit ended with a short message from the Managing Director Mr. Sushil Kumar Choudhury who advised the aspiring engineers to focus on learning new things and nation building. Event saw participation by 21 ISHRAE DBCE Students Chapter members.
