ISTE inaugural and Memorandum of Understanding
The inaugural function for the one week ISTE approved workshop on “Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and 3D Modeling” was held on 4th November 2019, organised by the Department of Computer Engineering at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda – Goa
The chief guest for the function was Dr. Gopal Mugeraya, Director at National Institute of Technology, Goa. Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and 3D Modeling are highlighted to be the next best thing in technological advances. These technologies drastically transform the way we communicate, consume content and use our devices. This technology will also modify and enhance the teaching learning experience.
The second part of the function was the signing of a MoU between Don Bosco College of Engineering and National Institute of Technology Goa.
The objectives of the MoU are to undertake joint research projects, to initiate publications and patents, to promote knowledge sharing and facilitate placements and internships. The MoU defines a wide variety of Areas of Research cooperation between the two parties; Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Thermography, Remote Sensing, Robotics to name a few.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Director (NITG), Dr. Gopal Mugeraya and Director (DBCE), Rev. Fr. Kinley D’cruz along with the Pricipal (DBCE), Dr. Neena Panandikar and the Registrar (NITG) Dr. Vasantha MH.
