MySQL Workshop

C-Codes Student Association along with the Computer Department organized a half day workshop on MySQL for students of second year Computer Engineering Department on 28 September 2019 at Don Bosco College Of Engineering, Fatorda. The resource faculties for the workshop were Asst.Prof Amey Tilve and Asst.Prof Siya Naik.

MySQL is an open-source relational database management system. Its name is a combination of “My”, the name of co-founder Michael Widenius’s daughter, and “SQL”, the abbreviation for Structured Query Language. Students were given introduction to Xampp server. Hands on sessions were held to create database. Various queries like how to create a table, performing insertion, deletion, updation, group by, order by etc were taught.

 The objective of this workshop was to provide students’ knowledge about MySQL database which would be beneficial to them to do back-send programming, storing data and for their placements.
