PHP Workshop

C-Codes Student Association along with the Computer Department organized a one day workshop on PHP for students of second year Computer Engineering Department on 12 October 2019 at Don Bosco College Of Engineering, Fatorda. The resource faculties for the workshop were Asst.Prof Amey Tilve and Asst.Prof Siya Naik.

PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is an Open-source, server-side scripting language. It is used to generate dynamic web-pages. PHP scripts reside between reserved PHP tags. This allows the programmer to embed PHP scripts within HTML pages. In the morning session, hands on session were given on basic php concepts. The second lecture session helped the participants to have a understanding about SQL and PHP and how the two work together. They discussed in detail about how to create a database and perform necessary actions on the database using a XAMPP Server and merge the database with PHP using SQL functions in Notepad++.Both the lecture sessions were informative as well as interactive.  The lectures were helpful in inculcating a positive attitude towards PHP and SQL among the participants.
