Pre Event Report KSHITIJ 2017

As part of Institute Social Responsibility, Don Bosco college of Engineering, Fatorda is organising Ksitij 2017, a three day technical event on 27th, 28th and 29th July 2017 in the college campus. During the event, DBCE students will showcase Academic Projects, Mini Technical Projects and Science & Environmental projects. A special science project competition will be organised for school students of class 5th to 10th in association with ISHRAE Goa Chapter. Some industries and professional societies have also been invited to participate in Kshitij 2017. The project expo can be attended by school/college students and is open to the General Public

A one day workshop on “Sustainable Energy Options for the Future” for High School & Higher Secondary School Science teachers will be held on 28th July 2017 as a parallel event during Ksitij 2017. The topics are Energy Scenario in India, Clean Energy for a Green Future, Nuclear Energy, Ocean Thermal Energy (OTEC) and Energy from Waste. The resource persons are Dr. A. K. Saran, Senior Principal Scientist, National institute of Oceanography, Dr. Manoj Borkar, Head of Department-Zoology, Carmel College for Women, Dr. Jagannath Hirkude, Associate Professor & Head, Mechanical Engineering Department, Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Dr. Srikanth Mutnuri, Associate Professor, Department of Biological Sciences, BITS Pilani, Goa Campus and scientists from Kaiga Nuclear Plant, Karwar. Another parallel event, Panel Discussion on “Corporate Work Culture” is scheduled for final year students of DBCE on 29th July 2017. Eminent Industry Professionals will be invited as speakers.
