Prof. Mohini Naik was invited as the Chief Guest

Prof. Mohini Naik was invited as the chief guest for the inaugural of the newly formed science club by The Kings High school Margao on March 3, 2023. On this occasion, Prof.Mohini Naik delivered talk on satellite communication. The talk was attended by the students from 7^th to 10^th std.

Prof. Mohini Naik appreciated the efforts taken by the teachers and students core team to start the science club in the school premises. She mentioned that science is present in our everyday life, the only thing we don’t notice. When we carefully notice things happening around us, we should read about it, discuss about it and finally put it in terms of experiments so that others can learn from it. 

She began the session with the introduction to the basic concept of communication. She also demonstrated on tracking the satellites and receiving satellite signals and thereby converting it into the image. She also introduced the ISS (International space station) and life on ISS for Astronauts. The talk received a wonderful feedback and students learned some new concepts.
