Report of NPTEL Online Certification Course on “An Introduction to Coding Theory”’

Prof. Deron Rodrigues participated in an 8 Week NPTEL Online Certification Course on An Introduction to Coding Theory, held from January to March 2017. The course covered theory of linear block codes and convolutional codes, their encoding and decoding techniques as well as their applications in real world scenarios, Simple repetition codes, Hamming codes, Reed Muller codes, low density parity check codes, and turbo codes. Prof. Deron Rodrigues appeared in the top 5% having a consolidated score of 75% marks in the Online Certification exam held on 25th March.
