Report on Robotics workshop for students of Dr. K B Hedgewar Vidyalaya, Ponda

MecHeads mechanical students club formed under MESH conducted robotics workshop for the school students of Dr. K B Hedgewar Vidyalaya, Ponda on 21^st September 2019. This club is formed to organize community development programs and also assist the department in training students in the areas like Robotics, Automation, Computer Aided Drafting and Modeling. The resource persons were Mr. Tanmay Bhagat, Mr. Bahar Phadte, Ms. Malaika Korgaonker, Ms. Priya Ghogale, Mr. Ruturaj Phadte, Mr. Siddhant Panjikar and Mr. Sejel Martins, students from third year Mechanical Engineering.

The workshop was mainly focused on encouraging school children in the field of robotics and automation. The students were introduced to different types of robots and their applications. The club members familiarized the school students about different parts and equipment required to build robots. Live demonstration of bots like : line follower & obstacle detection were shown to the students.

During the valedictory function the Headmaster of the school, Shri. Sarveshwar P. Naik Bhaireli congratulated the team for taking the initiative and organizing the workshop. He also motivated the school students to take up this field.
