Road Safety Awareness Program held on 24th January 2019 at Don Bosco College of Engineering

The NSS unit of Don Bosco college of Engineering, Fatorda in association with Nestle India Ltd., Maulinguem, Bicholim and Goa Institue of Management (GIM), Sanquelim conducted a Road Safety Awareness Program in the institute premises on 24^th January 2019. The six member team headed by Ms. Renita Coutinho from GIM visited the institute for delivering the session on road safety. Altogether 120 students from first, second and third year attended this session. Importance of wearing helmet by rider and pillion, importance of wearing seat belt by driver as well as co passenger, important sign boards on roads, rash driving, important documents to be carried while driving and similar other  topics related to road safety were discussed. This is the first Road Safety Awareness Program conducted by the NSS unit in this academic year and was coordinated by Prof. Chetan Gaonkar, NSS Program Officer.
