ROBOCOM at BITS PILANI – QUARK 2024

The Robotics Club, ROBOCOM, of our college (DBCE) under the mentorship of Prof. Flavia Leitao, Robotics Club Coordinator, participated in a three day Technical event QUARK 2024 at BITS PILANI on 16, 17 and 18 February 2024.

The Robocom Team made their mark at QUARK 2024 with a stellar lineup featuring a Line Follower Robot (LFR) and two Racer bots. The team members for the LFR were Mr. Maynard Rodrigues, Mr. Alfan Vas, Ms. Danely Gomes and Mr. Mazen Leitao. Mr. Loxley Dias and Mr. Maynard Rodrigues collaborated as one team with the first Racer Bot, while Mr. Royden Barreto and Mr. Rueban Fernandes formed the other.

Congratulations to DBCE Robocom Team, for securing second place for the LFR at QUARK 2024, the esteemed tech event hosted by BITS Pilani Goa. Their impressive performance in the line follower bots competition highlights their skill and dedication in the field of robotics. It is a testament to their hard work and innovation.

A special shoutout is well-deserved for Mr. Jeremy Gilbert, Mr. Piyush Suthar, and Mr. Yash Kochrekar for their invaluable contributions to the design and coding of the Line Follower Bot.

A big thank you to the support and guidance provided by Director Fr. Kinley D’cruz and Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar, whose backing undoubtedly played a crucial role in DBCE’s impressive performance at QUARK 2024. We acknowledge the contribution of our Robotics Coordinator Prof. Flavia Leitao, whose commitment to fostering team work and excellence within the team has surely been instrumental in achieving such remarkable results.
