ROBOCOM at RIT, Goa – TECH TWISTER
The Robotics Club, ROBOCOM, of our college under the mentorship of Prof. Flavia Leitao, Robotics Club Coordinator, participated in a two day Technical event TECH TWISTER at RIT, Goa, on 19th and 20th February 2024.
The Robocom club took part for the, “Line Follower” and the Krack Code” Event.
Mr. Yash Kochrekar and Mr. Piyush Suthar participated in the “Krack Code” event and emerged victorious in the first position after a tiebreaker, thereby demonstrating their exceptional skills and problem-solving abilities. Competing against 20 other teams and ultimately clinching first place, even in a tie with another talented team from DBCE, highlights their dedication and proficiency in coding. It’s a testament to their hard work, determination, and ability to excel under pressure.
Robocom also showcased two line follower bots, each built with precision and expertise. Jeremy Gilbert led the construction of one bot, while Piyush Suthar, Yash Kochrekar, and Vallan Mascarenhas collaborated on the other. Vallan and Jeremy took on the main control responsibilities, ensuring smooth operation during the competition. Meanwhile, Piyush and Yash provided crucial software support for both the bots, contributing to their efficiency and performance. Both the bots did well in the first round with Vallan’s bot standing 4th and Jeremys standing 6th. In the second round Jeremy’s bot qualified for the finals competing with the 4 other bots and gave his best shot but couldn’t make the cut while Vallan’s bot had to forfeit because of technical issues. There were 9 teams in total and team GEC won the line follower event.
Overall, it was a great experience participating at RIT’s Tech Twister.
