Session on ‘BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS’

A session on Business Model Canvas’ was organised by Institution Innovation Council of Don Bosco College of Engineering (IIC-DBCE) on June 28, 2022, on Google meet platform The resource person for the session was Mr. Anand Lotlikar- Founder- Deviant Strokes Brand Consultancy.

The session commenced with Mrs. Anisha Cotta, Faculty Coordinator of the event introducing the speaker and welcoming him. Mr. Anand Lotlikar began the session by defining a Business Model Canvas and shared a thought on how to look at a product in a different way. He spoke extensively on “planning” by giving various examples.

He stressed on “What a business model is?” He also explained in detail the ‘9 Building Blocks of Business Model Canvas’. He spoke extensively on the different customer segments and stressed on how to cater to different customer segments. He supported the same with the help of numerous examples like Titan, CCD etc. He further added that “different brands define itself in different ways” Mr. Lotlikar said “Designer business model is much more important than the product”. He also spoke extensively on value propositions. With a participation of around 40 students, the session was concluded by a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Melissa Solomon, student coordinator of the event. .
