Session on Repair & Rehabilitation of Structures under Vidnyan Dhara 2024

Ms. Nadya Baracho, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering Department, our college (DBCE) delivered a lecture on Repair & Rehabilitation of Structures to the students of Our Lady of Health High School, Cuncolim, Salcette, under Vidnyan Dhara 2024 on Febuary 27^th 2024.

Ms. Nadya Baracho interacted with the students and discussed the need, the objectives and the various repair methods and materials available. The students were made aware of how to identify distress signs in the structure and what tests are carried out to ascertain the condition of an existing structure. The students could relate to some problems viz. water logging and leakages, peeling of paint/plaster, rust stains, etc. The students were enthusiastic towards the talk and interacted about the various signs they have observed in their homes and other buildings.

The core goal of Vidnyan Dhara 2024 is to inspire and motivate students and educators from diverse disciplines, steering them towards the wonders of science.
