Talk on Installation & Maintenance of Industrial Pumps

The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a guest lecture on “Installation & Maintenance of Industrial Pumps” on 30^th August 2018 for Fourth Year Mechanical Students. The resource person was Mr. Abhay Keny, Owner, Shanta Pumps, a Goa based Industrialist with over 30 years of Industrial experience in leading organizations including Crompton Greaves etc.

Mr. Abhay Keny began with an introduction to Types of Pumps i.e Positive displacement, etc. He shed light on the Importance of different types of pumps and how effectively it is being used in the industry. He also spoke about maintenance procedures for pumps.

Prof Suraj Marathe presented a memento to the speaker. The lecture was organized by Prof Gaurish M Samant.
