Tech Mania 2k23 Report

The Department of Computer Engineering- Don Bosco College of Engineering, successfully organized Tech Mania 2k23- the annual project competition, on August 1, 2023. This prestigious event showcased the innovative projects of our final year students as well as the third year students. The event was sponsored by Stanza Infotech & Bodhami.

The formal function commenced with the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Narsinh Thakur – Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, and Guest of Honor, Mr. Sachin Kale – Founder CEO of Stanza Infotech Pvt Ltd. Special Invitee, Mr. Madhav Ranganekar – COO at SJ Innovation, Goa, also graced the occasion, along with Rev. Fr. Kinley D’cruz – Director, Dr. Neena Panandikar – Principal, and Dr. Gaurang Patkar – Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Prof. Amey Kerkar – Tech Mania Coordinator who played a crucial role in orchestrating the event.

Other esteemed guests were Ms. Akshata Alornekar, HR Manager at SJ Innovation; Mr. Amol Bhandari, Technical Manager at SJ Innovation; and Mr. Aditya Bambolkar, Head at Delta Corp Ltd.

During the event, the Chief Guest, Dr. Narsinh Thakur, enlightened the audience about technology in pure science domains and how it can transform complex data into understandable forms. Mr. Sachin Kale, motivated and inspired the students to participate in competitions and embrace the learning opportunities they provide.

A highlight of the ceremony was the release of the Department’s annual project book, “TechSeed 2k23,” which captures the essence of the remarkable projects presented during Tech Mania 2k23. The book was unveiled by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, making it a cherished keepsake for the students and faculty.

The competition witnessed exceptional projects from talented students and the best three final year projects were awarded with a trophy and certificate at the hands of the dignitaries. The competition was judged by a panel of eminent technocrats, including Mr. Rohan Warty – MD of Xerwix Wlobal, Mr. Damodar Patnekar – CEO & Founder of Bodhami, and Mr. Madhav Rangnekar – Manager & COO at SJ Innovation Goa.

The Third-Year student group collaborated with Deltin Royale for a year and was felicitated by Mr. Aditya Bambolkar, their external guide, alongside internal guides Prof. Amey Tilve & Prof. Janhvi Naik. The Second-Year students, creators of the acclaimed “Neural Kissan” project guided by Prof. Amey Tilve, were felicitated by Mr Sachin Kale.

Finally, the Pai Kane Project group was also felicitated by Dr Gaurang Patkar.

The event ended with the vote of thanks proposed by the project coordinator, Prof Amey Kerkar.

Mr. Vadiraj Inamdar and Mr. Shubham Tendulkar, students from the final-year computer department, skillfully compared the entire event.
