Webinar on 5S AND TPM

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Don Bosco College of Engineering(DBCE), held its third webinar in Audit Course in Maintenance Engineering for the academic year 2021-2022, on  December 15, 2021 from 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm. The session was delivered by Mr. Raymond Joseph, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, DBCE on “5S and TPM”

The webinar was hosted via Google meet. 55 participants from the Third year Mechanical Engineering students and Faculties from Department  of  Mechanical Engineering attended the webinar. The event was hosted and coordinated by Prof. Swapnil Ramani. The event was initiated by Prof. Swapnil Ramani who welcomed the participants and gave a brief introduction about the resource person.

Mr. Raymond started the session by talking about Manufacturing Scenario in India and around the world. He explained the importance of 5S in improving quality. Implementing 5S motivates employees to work better. He also spoke about Total Productive Maintenance. He explained 8 pillars of TPM and its importance in Industry.  Mr. Raymond’s delivery on the subject was precise and on-point. He kept the entire session very interactive, ensuring to answer all student questions as and when they came up. The students gained valuable knowledge in this area of engineering.
