Webinar on Process of Innovation Development

On December 4, 2020, the Institution Innovation Council of Don Bosco College of Engineering in association with FIIRE conducted a webinar on the topic: Process of Innovation Development, which was organized by Faculty Coordinator Ms. Grebian Alemao, moderated by Prof. Suraj Marathe and student coordinator. The webinar was hosted under the guidance of the Director of Don Bosco College of Engineering -Rev Fr. Kinley D’cruz, Principal -Neena Panandikar, President of IIC Committee of DBCE -Dr. Varsha Turkar and Mr. DS Prashant. The Guest Speaker for the webinar was Mr. Ronald D’Souza who is the Director of Intellinects Venture and Mea Vita Technologies. The highlights of the webinar were Essential stages of successful innovation, What is the innovation process? Process of innovation in entrepreneurship and Turning an idea into reality.

Mr. Ronald D’Souza initially shared a few reference books, he later went on into sharing his work experiences at MNC’s like Kellogg’s, Alcatel-Lucent, etc. He also briefed the participants about his personal experiences such as challenges, innovations and new ideas which he solved and developed at the MNC’s too. He also shared his experience in developing Intelliadmissions: a software which benefits the parents, schools as well as the students in the admission processes in applying to various schools. He then went on by giving some tips and tricks for the steps of innovation which include: Uncovering the job, Creating the desired experience and intergrating processes around the job. Mr.Ronald D’Souza also conducted an exercise to help try find the entrepreneur mind. He summarized his talk with a few key words stating: Be people-obsessed vs product obsessed, Execution eats strategy for breakfast and emphasized on Test, Learn and repeat.
