Report on Awareness Session on “NAAC Implementation”

The “NAAC Implementation” session was conducted on April 5, 2023 for the NAAC committee members at Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE). The resource person for the session was Dr.Vidhya D S. The session began with a briefing on the Process of Accreditation and Assessment, Registration process, IIQA, briefly on seven Criteria, DVV process, Student Satisfaction Survey and Peer team Visit.

Dr. Vidhya D S mentioned, “it is very important that we evaluate the information that we provide in the form of documentation.” She further went on to explain the criteria and the key indicators along with Qualitative and Quantitative Metrics. The criteria members were informed that a subsequent meeting will be held discussing each criteria extensively. The session ended with a Q&A session.

The session was attended by about 20 NAAC Committee members from Departments of Mechanical, Civil, Computer, ETC Engineering and Science & Humanities – DBCE. Director – Fr. Kinley D‘Cruz, Principal – Dr.Neena Panandikar, Head of Department of Science & Humanities- Dr. Kala Nayak , Head of Department of Civil Engineering – Dr.Sweta, Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering – Dr. Verekar , Head of Department of ECS/ETC – Dr.Vidhya  and Head of Department of Computer Engineering- Dr. Guarang attended the session.
