BE ETC BATCH 2019-23 FAREWELL REPORT
The farewell event was held on June 9, 2023, for the graduating class of BE ETC (Electronics & Telecommunications) 2019-23, Don Bosco College of Engineering. The event was a grand success, and the faculty were thrilled to have had the opportunity to bid farewell to this batch in a memorable way.
The event began with a welcome address by the Director – Rev Father Kinley D’Cruz, who expressed his gratitude towards the graduating class for their contributions to the institution and wished them success in their future endeavours. This was followed by a series of speeches by the Principal, Head of department of ETC, Registrar and the Class Representative of the BE ETC class, who shared their experiences and memories with the graduating class and wished them success. An award for the best outgoing student of the batch was presented to the well-deserved, Ms. Anjima Rajesh, for not only excelling in academics but sports and cultural activities as well.
The highlight of the event was the cultural program organized by the TE ETC class. The program included a variety of performances, including music, games, spot prizes which showcased the talents of the juniors and entertained the seniors. A compilation of photographs in the form of short clip was projected of the graduating students that got them sentimental. Another video of faculty members, sharing their views on the-journey-ahead of the students, was screened. Faculty members also put-up performances to show their fondness towards the class. All the performances were met with a thunderous applause and cheers from the audience. The comperes Ms. Karen and Mr. Nupoor of TE ETC did a fantastic job at keeping the gathering engrossed throughout the event. The TE ETC class worked tirelessly to make this event a great success.
The event also featured a photo booth that was created by the juniors, where the graduating class had the opportunity to take pictures with their friends and faculty members. The photo booth was a huge hit, and everyone had a great time capturing memories that they will cherish for years to come.
The event concluded with a farewell speech by the Class Teacher and Assistant Training and Placement Officer, who thanked the graduating class for their contributions to the college and encouraged them to make a positive impact in the world. A vote of thanks was then delivered by Ms. Samantha Cardoso to appreciate all who helped the event to be a huge success. The graduating class was presented with mementos as a token of appreciation for their time at the institution and as token of remembrance.
Overall, the farewell event was a great success, and it was a fitting tribute to the graduating class. We will miss them dearly, but we are excited to see them embark on new journeys and make their mark in the world.
