Alumni Meet 2024

The Alumni Meet 2024, held at our college (DBCE) on 3^rd February 2024, was a momentous occasion that encapsulated the spirit of nostalgia. The event commenced with a video presentation that provided a view of the entire college, offering glimpses into various departments and facilities. Following the visual journey, Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar took the stage, addressing the gathered alumni. Her insightful presentation included the college’s historical journey, reflecting on past accomplishments, outlining future plans and highlighting recent achievements that showcased the institution’s growth and excellence. The formal proceedings continued with an address from the college’s Director, Rev Fr Kinley D’Cruz. His words, concluding with a heartfelt blessing, resonated with the audience, emphasizing the institution’s role in shaping individuals and their future endeavors.

Prof. Janhavi, Chair of the Alumni Committee, added a personal touch to the event with a short but impactful speech, recognizing the importance of alumni in the college’s legacy. Mrs. Avila Naik, TPO of DBCE, addressed the gathering, shedding light on the Alumni Committee’s social media presence and ensuring awareness of rules and regulations governing the alumni community. A special moment unfolded as Prof. Janhavi was honored with a memento for her significant contributions as an alumni member, recognizing her dedication and commitment to the community. The formal function concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof Shreyas, Assistant TPO, demonstrating appreciation for the collective efforts that made the event a success. Ms. Clarita D’Souza hosted the formal proceedings.

The transition to the informal function was done by hosts Mr. Rio D’Mello and Ms. Rucha Sawant which added a vibrant and relaxed dimension to the event. The department-wise cake cutting marked a symbolic celebration, fostering unity among the alumni. The evening carried forward with a musical performance by Sherwin and his band, accompanied by Prof. Yeshudas Muttu and Prof. Deron Fernandes. Spot prizes added an element of excitement while an intriguing word search game provided a fun and interactive experience for the attendees.

The Alumni Meet of 2024 was not merely an event but it was a celebration of the strong bonds forged at Don Bosco College of Engineering.
