R & D Knowledge Sharing Session on “Virtual Reality (Drishti)”
The R&D cell of the Mechanical Engineering Department of our college organized a knowledge-sharing session on “Virtual Reality (Drishti)” on 21st March 2024. The resource person for the session was Mr. Akhilesh Bhise, founder of Innovent, based in FiiRE, DBCE.
Mr Bhise spoke about his passion for 3D modeling. He elaborated on the various tools involved in 3D designing, namely Extrude, Revolve Sweep and Loft. He also dealt with the process of rendering, an image synthesis procedure to generate realistic images, and the benefits of using VR/AR in construction. Typical architectural designs using VR and AR were demonstrated. He touched upon the. The Program was coordinated by Prof. Aniket Naik, who introduced the speaker and proposed a vote of thanks. The session was attended by faculty members and students of the Mechanical department.
