ROBOCOM at GEC, Goa – SPECTRUM

The Robotics Club, ROBOCOM, of our college under the mentorship of Prof. Flavia Leitao, Robotics Club Coordinator, participated in a two day Technical event SPECTRUM at GEC, Goa, on 3^rd and 4^th March 2024.

Team Robocom showcased their skills across various competitive events and engaged in a series of challenges, including Line Follower Race (LFR), Robo Soccer, Robo Racer, and the Cosmo Codes.

The Line Follower Race (LFR) event tested the precision and speed of autonomous robots in following a track. Team Robocom’s entry demonstrated remarkable agility and accuracy, securing the 2^nd place in a highly competitive environment. The team members were Rucha Sawant and Ridhima Vernekar.

In the Robo Soccer, Team Robocom’s robot controlled by Preston Dsilva displayed tactical maneuvers and teamwork, pushing the boundaries of robotic control systems. While the team did not place in the top ranks, their performance was commendable and showed great potential for future competitions.

The Robo Racer event was a thrilling exhibition of speed and control. Team Robocom’s robot controlled by Bibisifhat performed admirably, navigating the course with finesse. The team’s innovative engineering solutions were evident in their robot’s responsiveness and stability at high speeds.

Participating in the coding event, Cosmo Codes, Team Robocom tackled complex algorithms and coding challenges. Their problem-solving skills shone through as they efficiently worked through the tasks, demonstrating their proficiency in software development.

Team Robocom’s participation in Spectrum GEC was marked by a series of impressive performances, highlighted by their 2nd place victory in the LFR event.

Team Robocom’s journey at Spectrum GEC was a blend of technical skill, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation. Their success in the LFR event and their overall participation are sure to inspire and pave the way for future endeavors.
