Participation in Capacity Building Workshop by DBCE Faculty

The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Goa, and Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC) organized a Capacity Building Workshop on “Leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Pedagogical Excellence in Higher Education” for the regular faculty of higher education institutions in Goa from 10th June 2024 to 15th June 2024. The workshop was conducted in a discipline-specific format, clustering faculty members according to their respective disciplines. Each cluster received a dedicated day of exclusive hands-on training on generative AI, facilitated by the esteemed AI expert Dr. Suresh Namboothiri, Director and Chief Mentor at Espoir Technologies.

The focus of the training was to equip faculty with the skills to integrate AI seamlessly into their teaching methodology, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of instructional delivery. The workshop provided hands-on AI training to faculty on integration of generative AI and prompt engineering in teaching/learning process in order to make the instruction more efficient and effective. This training equipped the faculty members with skills to integrate AI seamlessly into teaching/learning methods and preparation of instructional materials.
