CESA Installation 2024

The Installation Ceremony of the CESA Council (Civil Engineering Student Association) and C-CODES Council of Computer engineering for the batch of 2024-25 took place jointly on 24^th August 2024 at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda Goa. These councils organize activities like educational field trips in the state and out of the state of Goa, lectures by professionals and distinguished practitioners in the field, video is shown on the latest technologies in the world, competitions, and socially relevant projects for the students throughout the year.

The host Ms. Xavy Rebello  addressed the gathering by introducing the Special Guest – Mr. Pravin Kakode, Executive Director- Upgrade Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. Managing Partner- Kakode Training LLP and Mr. Sujeet Shetty, President, Goa technology association, Co-Founder, Team Inertia technology; Director- Rev. Fr. Kinley D’cruz; Principal- Dr.Neena Panandikar; Head Of Department of Civil engineering, Dr. Shwetha Prasanna; Head Of Department of Computer Engineering, Dr. Gaurang Patkar and Coordinators, Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar, Prof. Jonessa Ferrao and Prof. Merwyn D’Souza. The ceremony began by lighting of the lamp. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Gaurang Patkar. The Principal addressed the gathering by congratulating the newly elected members of CESA and C-CODES, and encouraging them to become industry ready, to upgrade with the new technology, organize skill based courses. The Director shared similar thoughts, highlighted the importance of leadership and the pivotal role that CESA plays in the development of civil engineering students and thanked the outgoing council led by Chairperson Clarita De Souza for ‘setting the tone, raising the bar with their energy, time and hardwork’.

In the later half, Prof. Shruti Jambhale, introduced the newly elected CESA Council members to the gathering, that is Chairperson: Ms. Sailee Mahale, Secretary: Mr. Liam Mendes, Treasurer: Mr. Omvithal Rajesh Raikar, Executive members, Mr. Clayton Joshua Teixeira, Ms.Akanksha Sadashiv Nagvenkar, Mr. Yogan Kossambe, Mr. Sarvadnya Dessai, Ms.Joshelle Santimano and Mr. Pratik Sandip Desai.

The Special Guests, Mr. Sujeet Shetty highlighted on bridging the gap between industry and students and Mr. Pravin Kakode in his speech resonated deeply with the audience, particularly the new generation of students, as he shared honest and impactful insights on achieving success in careers and emphasized on the importance of curiosity, gratitude and simplicity.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr.Shwetha Prassanna, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the ceremony. The installation of the new CESA Council was a momentous occasion that not only celebrated leadership but also inspired the students to strive for excellence in their academic and professional journeys.
